The Darley Dale Clay Pigeon Shooting club was started by a few friends in 1970's at Stanton in the Peak... since then it has moved to various location including Longcliffe, and Bradbourne until finally finding a long term home at its current site near Brassington and regularly attracts large numbers of shooters from aroundthe local area and beyond. The club is affiliated to the CPSA having a safety officer and running it ownsclassification scheme but does not hold CPSA registered shoots. The site it ideally suited to Sporting Clayswith the ability to locate traps above and below the shooter providing scope for all the classic stands suchas driven, teal, rabbits and crosser's. All traps are automatic removing the need for trappers but shooters are asked to mark their own cards and operate the traps responsibly. There are limited catering facilities
