INCISE CARVED PERCUSSION KENTUCKY RIFLE ATTRIBUTED TO JONATHANC DUNMEYER Kentucky percussion rifle made attributed to Jonathon Dunmeyer of Somerset, Pennsylvania, circa 1850. The rifled octagonal barrel has rifle sights on top flat. Handmade percussion lock with some engraving at thin tapered tail and features double set triggers. Full figured tiger maple stock with typical Jonathon Dunmeyer architecture and incised floral carving. Brass hardware with engraved patchbox with 4 piercings. Complete with slightly short hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with barrel having a brown patina. Brass has a dark mustard patina. Stock shows marks from use and a repaired break stemming from front lock tang. A nice looking rifle.
