From Research I believe that this Birmingham shotgun dates between 1813 and 1855 Period, Made in BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, 10 GAUGE, DOUBLE BARREL, BACKLOCK, PERCUSSION, SHOTGUN.
This early Birmingham, England Double Barreled Full Length, Back Action Lock, Percussion Fowler/Shotgun is as I received it from an estate sale. A gunmakers name is not on the Shotgun however impressed on the bar between the two barrels is the following “WARRANTED DAMASCUS”.
I lightly clean the bore to show that the smooth barrels bores are still in very good condition.
Some oxidation is present in the barrel bores which would be expected for shotgun 170 plus years old.
