Up for sale is a used, antique Smith & Wesson New Model 3 Target top break single action revolver chambered in 32-44 S&W. Round ribbed barrel measures 6 ½" in length with a marginally bright, frosted bore with scattered light pitting and some isolated patches of heavy pitting and visible rifling. Metal surfaces are almost entirely gray patina with older freckled staining and scattered pinprick to light pitting and the caliber marking is no long visible on the barrel. Checkered hard rubber grips have toned to a chocolate brown color and show scattered small handling marks with worn definition in the checkering and the top of the left panel has a repaired crack going through the S&W logo and the inside of the grips are scratch numbered to the frame. Revolver is sighted with a portion of the pinned front blade with is missing its bead and looks to have been lightly filed down along with an adjustable rear. Serial numbers on the frame, grips, cylinder and barrel next to the latch are matching. Timing appears good and barrel to frame fit and lockup are solid.
Revolver is very early in production (#65) and should be a good addition to your collection.
