Antique Portuguese Contract Steyr M1886 Kropatschek infantry rifle in 8X56MMR Kropatschek. Made 1886 in Austria. No import marks found. Matching serials on the receiver, barrel and stock. Bolt is not matching. Cartouches visible on both sides of the stock. 32-¾” barrel with original sights. Original blued finish, oiled wood stock, smooth metal butt plate and clearing rod. CONDITION: Metal is good overall. There is some honest wear and patina throughout. Also some freckling of surface rust on the barrel. Wood has minor impressions, scratches and dents. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. Antique, no licence required in most areas.
