Excellent Peabody Carbine, .50 Cal., retaining the majority of it's case coloring and bluing on the barrel. Excellent shiny bore with rifling. Two sharply marked cartouches on the wrist, 5 line Peabody markings on the left side of the receiver with letter stamps on metal pieces. Excellent working action, wood is excellent showing some handling wear, marks. These were made c. 1866-1871. Serial no. matching on the receiver and on the barrel. One of the best we have seen.
