Here's your chance to grab a very hard to find antique rifle. The 1896/11 Schmidt Rubin isn't an extremely uncommon rifle, but finding one that is a designated antique is tough to do… this is chambered in the more modern 7.5x55, not the impossible to find 7.5x53.5. Meaning this one you can actually feed at the range!
This gorgeous testament to Swiss artistry is all matching, and still retains a fair portion of its original blueing. The bore is mirror bright with excellent rifling. The bakelite bolt handles do have a small sliver missing from the bottom one. Comes with original muzzle cap/cover and correct Swiss marked sling. Pretty darn nice considering 125+ years old!
Barrel retains it's blueing. The receiver is faded, but still presents nicely. The base of the magazine is faded, as are some parts of the trigger guard. The original wood stock is excellent, and shows minor wear consistent with a WW1/pre era rifle.
