Civil War Musket Lamson Goodnow & Yale LG&Y Windsor Musketoon

This is a very nice Antique Civil War Windsor Musketoon 58 caliber Percussion Rifle. The wood is aged to a uniform color with no chips, cracks or missing wood other than cracks at the wrist that have very old repairs ,however, the stock is solid as a rock. There are dents and dings form 100 years use. The stock has a butt plate marked US . The metal is a mottled brown patina with some oxidation. The gun has a 29" barrel (What I can see of the bore looks dark....I have not cleaned this gun or taken it apart) the metal ram rod appears to be original to the gun. There is a bead front sight . The trigger and lock function as they should. The lock is stamped with 1863 and a eagle as well as LG&Y and Windsor .
