This is a wheellock rifle made by Michael Wagner of Cronach, Germany in 1704.
This particular wheellock rifle has a stock with ornate polished bone inlays throughout and a beautifully engraved lock plate and hammer. These guns were replicated at various points in history and this one is marked 1704.
The bore is dark and the rifling is well defined. There is fouling and moderate oxidation and erosion in the bore. In our opinion, this bore rates a 7 out of 10.
