Signed Engraved Middle Eastern Percussion Belt Sash Pistol Cannon Barrel

¼" long overall with an 8 ¼" turned cannon style barrel, first 2 ½" of which is octagon transitioned to round at a wedding band turning with nicely turned cannon muzzle. Unusual engraved one-piece solid brass breech plug, tang, and bolster. Engraved lock is inscribed with a name ("Moahb" ?) and cryptic writing on top of the barrel flanked by an unidentified proof mark on either side. The metal has a smooth mottled plum/brown patina thinning to silver/gray. The stock features a carved basket weave panel on each side of the grip with a fluted butt. The wood shows moderate wear overall with a dark untouched appearance with a secure 2" crack ahead of the lock. Made without provision for a rammer. Engraved brass barrel band and breech with sculpted brass buttcap and engraved iron sideplate. Forged rat tail trigger with engraved iron triggerguard which appears to be signed similar to the lock. The hammer pulls back securely with a strong mainspring but does not hold half or full cock. Original nipple is rusty but intact. Cool gun!
