This Swiss Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 was made way back in 1892 so it is over 130 years old. The straight pull action and detachable box magazine set this rifle apart from other Military rifles of the time. This rifle is chambered in 7.5x53.5mm. The 7.5x53.5 cartridge fired at a much lower pressure than the modern Swiss 7.5x55 cartridge.
This rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel shank, bolt body, rear sight assembly (3 places), buttplate, and magazine.
This Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 is an antique so no LICENCE is required .
