Here's a fairly uncommon Winchester lever rifle! This is a Model 1873 Musket with 30" barrel, full stock, three barrel bands, and factory sling swivels.
This Winchester is in very fine, completely original condition.
The buttplate had faded to a silver/brown patina with a couple spots of corrosion. All markings are sharp and crisp; all screw heads are in good condition without any buggering. The stocks are in fine shape, never sanded or refinished in any way.
Mechanically excellent, it would appear this rifle has hardly been fired since it was manufactured some 121+ years ago. The bore is amazing...sharp and mirror bright without a hint of frost or pitting. This is a very fine example and if it wasn't for the minor storage issues, wouldn't be far from new! The bayonet is in excellent condition as well, properly finished bright without markings. The cleaning rod is in excellent shape except for one section which shows old pitting.
