This 1860 Army is a replica revolver of the Colt Model 1860 Army revolver. It was made in Italy in 1970, and imported by Hawes Firearms of Los Angeles, CA, a former importer of historical firearm replicas. The 1860 Army is chambered in .44 caliber and is popular among cowboy action shooters and black powder enthusiasts due to its historical accuracy. It is also used for hunting and target shooting. This Hawes Firearms 1860 Army replica features wood grips, a brass frame and a blued barrel and cylinder. Additionally, it has the sought after 4 screw frame.
The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks with barely noticeable play on each chamber. The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp.
In my opinion ,this bore rates a 9 out of 10.
This revolver is in Very Good condition with a nice bore and a sound action. This 6 shot percussion revolver will be perfect for Cowboy Action Shooting events, reenactments or to simply add to a Western Americana collection.
