Vintage Reproduction American Revolutionary War British Flintlock Light Dragoon Horse Pistol, .69 cal smoothbore, mfg. circa 1970's. This is a fully functional firing reproduction of a classic Revolutionary War horse pistol measuring 15 ¼" long overall with a 9" barrel. The barrel is marked “JAPAN A319” and retains 95% bright bluing with some very fine shallow pinprick pit staining and freckling scattered overall as pictured. Case hardened lock marked “GR” is slightly faded with dried grease throughout. Wood stock is very good overall with one tiny crack forming behind the ramrod pipe and some very light surface mars and scratches. Brass furniture is beginning to tone with age. Original blued steel rammer has some fine surface oxidation forming. The action is smooth and crisp and functions perfectly. Frizzen securely snaps shut and springs forward. Bore shows some very light surface oxidation throughout with a couple heavier spots just at the muzzle which should remove with a proper scrubbing. A fun piece for any blackpowder enthusiast!
