J. P. Sauer & Sohn Model 98 Mauser Custom Semi-Octagon 9x57mm Mauser

This is a very nice factory custom JP Sauer & Son Mauser 98 sporter chambered in 9x57mm Mauser. It has a octagon to smooth ribbed 25 inch barrel that has about 80-85% of the bluing left on it. The barrel is marked "MOD. MAUSER:J.P. SAUER & SON" on the solid rib. There are some nicks and scratches in the bluing but it is nice overall. The wood looks good but it does have some dents and scratches, also there are a couple of hairline cracks by the receiver. Overall though, the wood is in good structurally sound condition. The length of pull is around 13.5 inches and it has a nice and soft decelerator butt pad. It has a very desirable Redfield adjustable receiver sight. The peep on the sight is notched to allow for adjustment. Double set trigger system with a very smooth action. The bore looks excellent with crisp shiny rifling
