Here's a very nice earlier production Winchester Model 9422 lever action rifle. Chambered for the .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges, it wears a 20" barrel with iron sights. The receiver top is grooved for easy scope mounting. This early rifle was made with the gloss finished smooth, non-checkered stocks. Overall condition is excellent and the rifle retains nearly all of its original bright blue finish. There are a few minor handling marks and one rub on top of the barrel from resting in a gun rack. I'd grade the blue finish about 97-98% overall. The stocks are in excellent shape with a few small handling marks but no cracks, chips or gouges. Mechanically, the rifle appears to function perfectly and it has an excellent bright/sharp bore. According to available serial number information, this 9422 was manufactured in about 1975. A very nice little rifle!
