This rifle's stock is one-piece smooth American maple with straight grip, fully formed cheekpiece, 6-screw brass patch box, metal buttplate, two wedge plates two hexagonal thimbles and a pewter-type nose cap.
The lock is an engraved percussion style with an adjustable sear, fly, and bridle.
The nipple is stainless steel.
The barrel is 32 inches, octagon, and 15/16 inch across the flats, with a hooked breech with two barrel tenons. It is rifled 1 turn in 66 inches for patched ball accuracy.
The triggers are double set, and will fire both set and unset.
The ramrod is made of unfinished hardwood with brass ends secured by steel pins
The overall length is 48 inches, and the weight is 8 pounds.
This rifle is well preserved.
