Here's a nice WWII Inland M1 Carbine that was manufactured in mid-to-late 1943. This carbine has been restored to its "WWII configuration" and looks very much as it would have looked in 1943. Most all of the parts are Inland marked with some parts having been arsenal refinished. The 2-position "flip" sight is correctly marked "S" on the left side but appears to be a reproduction as the aperture pin is not staked. There are no "bomb crater" stake marks evident in the rear sight dovetail to indicate that an adjustable sight was ever installed. The narrow barrel band is correct and there are no impressions in the stock nose from a later wide band. There are no import markings, nor any rebuild stamps. The "high wood" stock is correctly marked with "IO" in the sling slot and has a faint but still visible large "crossed cannons" ordnance mark on the right side of the butt. The stock is in very good shape, free of cracks/chips/repairs, but does show various handling marks, minor dents and dings. This carbine is in perfect working order and has an excellent bore that is bright and shows a muzzle wear of about 1.0. It comes with two 15-round USGI magazines, one marked "K.I." and the other "S-O".
Also included are a very nice original USGI O.D. C-Tip sling and an "IS" marked oiler. A great looking WWII carbine in great mechanical condition...it should make someone an excellent collectible shooter!
