Here is a very high condition and extremely desirable Colt automatic pistol. This is a Pre-War Colt National Match.
This particular pistol also features the highly desirable factory installed Stevens adjustable rear sight. Additionally, it features the uncommon "Swartz Safety" that was only in use for a couple of years.
This pistol is in excellent overall condition. The slide is properly serial numbered beneath the firing pin retainer and matches the frame. The barrel is correctly marked "COLT 45 AUTO MATCH" and has the circled MB match barrel proof. Internal wear patterns on the frame, barrel & slide mirror one another perfectly, indicating these parts are original to one another. All of the other components appear to be original to this pistol as well and there are no after-factory modifications. This handsome pistol retains about 94-95% of the original factory blue finish. There is no rust or any pitting. The grips are in very good shape with some normal light wear but free of any cracks or chips. The mechanical condition is excellent with everything functioning perfectly. The bore is also excellent and is bright with sharp rifling. One original, excellent condition pre-war full blue/pinned base magazine is included.
The serial number places this pistol in about 1938 production. A very nice example for the advanced Colt pistol collector!
