Here's a Hungarian-made Femaru Model 37 that was manufactured for the German military in 1941. It is chambered for the 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP) and has matching serial numbers on frame, slide, and barrel. The magazine is of the correct German issue type .
The mechanics are in perfect working order and the bore is excellent with mirror bright, sharp rifling. Also included is an excellent condition original Theuermann patent "drop holster" that was manufactured by the firm Gustav Reinhard Lederwarenfabrik located in Berlin (maker coded "jsd"), dated 1942, and Luftwaffe droop-wing Eagle/7 accepted on the belt slide The inside of the lid is marked "Nur fur Pistole 37M [Ung] Kal. 7,65mm" which translates to "Only for Pistol 37M [Hungarian] Caliber .32". The Theuermann pattern holsters were designed so that when the lid was opened the holster would slide downward on the dual straps that come over the top of the lid. This allowed easier access to the pistol from a seated position...important to pilots, drivers, etc. Condition is very good and the holster shows only moderate wear and is free of holes, loose stitching, modifications or non-original markings.
Together with the holster this pistol makes a nice example for the collection!
