Winchester Model 12 Slide Action (Pump) Shotgun Serial Number 752788, made in 1937. This Model 12 is a 16 Gauge and has often been called the “Sweet Sixteen” because the balance of power and ease of handling made it a pleasure to carry and shoot as compared with the heavier 12 Gauge.
It's in very good condition, with both the barrel and receiver sharing Winchester “proof marks" and matching serial numbers. The bore is bright and shiny with no dents or bulges. The action is tight and cycles smoothly with no drag or hesitation. The trigger, safety and chamber release work correctly with everything functioning as it should. The finish on the barrel and receiver shows light ware on the edges, but would rate about 90% overall, with no rust, pitting or corrosion. The original Winchester roll markings on the barrel are sharp and clear with no blurring or brush marks which might indicate a reblue. As with all pump shotguns, the finish on the magazine tube is worn from honest use.
The slide handle and the stock are in almost perfect condition with only a few small handling marks. The butt plate is the original Winchester factory instillation.
