This is an early Winchester Model 1897 pump action shotgun in 12ga. It was manufactured in 1899 and has a 30" barrel with a fixed modified choke. The finish appears to have been refinished at one point but has since worn to a silver patina. The stock and forearm show typical wear for its age, some dings, dents, and cracks on the forearm. They have had an extra coat of varnish added at one point. The bore is good. It has a metal buttplate with a 13 3/4" length of pull. The serial number is 692**.
