I have a very nice example of an antique Mark III Snider Enfield for sale in its issue 577 Snider caliber. The rifle shows about 40% barrel blue with no pitting at all. The bore is fine plus to exc. with lots of brite shine no spotting or pitts at all.
The rifling is visible all the way down. The action is very crisp shuts nice . The extractor works firing pin is free moving with a good return spring. The lock is very crisp with two strong clicks. The markings are sharp and all readable with this one dated 1871. This is the all newly made Mark III rifle and not a conversion piece. These Mark III rifle were made with the new type of action with a locking stud or bolt and a Steel barrel. The proof marks are all readable as well. The stock is in fine plus condition no cracks or chips with a razor sharp cartouche see pics . The cleaning rod is present along with both sling swivels. The rifle comes with fine condition proper model original bayonet and brass mounted scabbard that fits the rifle perfectly. A very clean example of a Mark II Snider one of nicest ones I've had in a while.
