is this first year of production WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 rifle. There were 23701 Model 92's produced in 1892 and this example is serial number 2900, probably made in first month. It is a standard production model with a full octagon barrel and chambered in 32 WCF (32/20). The wood is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks or extra holes. As for the metal it has been nicely restored with all markings clear and visible, The action functions perfectly and is crisp and tight. The bore is fine with good rifling. Overall a nice example not often found in the ANTIQUE serial number range.
