EARLY 2nd Model Winchester 1873 Rifle - 44-40 - *W/ ORIG. CLEANING RODS

This is a very early 2nd model that has all of the correct early and desirable features such as; A dust cover rail attached with screws, a magazine tube cap with internal treads and no retaining screw, and a hammer screw / trigger pin visible from the exterior. This rifle also still has the factory 4-piece cleaning rods in the trap door of the butt stock. The entire rifle has been worn dull silver color with misc. Crisp, tight action that cycles well – well above average for an early 1873. The bore is good for an 1873. Has scattered pits and visible rifling. I rate the bore 6/10. Ships fully insured and will be packaged very well.
