Up for sale is an antique British William Moore SxS side lever hammer shotgun chambered in 12 G and even though the chambered measure to 2 ¾" were probably for 2 ½" shells. Barrels measure 31 7/8" in length with dark, frosted and badly pitted bores with a repaired crack in the right barrel about 3 ¾" back from the right muzzle and the muzzles are uneven and may have been cut. Metal surfaces are almost entirely shades of brown patina with various handling marks, older rust, staining and some pits. Lower rib has partially separated under the forend and the barrel lug has been welded back on to the barrels and the weld partially ground down to clear the forend, Checkered wood forend shows worn checkering with various scratches, marks and a couple chips and the tip inset is missing.
Shotgun is sighted with a single front bead on a solid low rib.
Extractor alignment pin missing from the barrels
