Sharps 1859 Carbine .52 percussion

This is a vintage Sharps carbine. The carbine has seen a rough life. The barrel is 22 1/4" long with a bore that is heavily pitted but there is visible rifling. The exterior shows rust and pitting. The barrel and receiver serial number match but no other markings are visible on the barrel. The hammer and sear engagement are good and there appears to be very little wear on the sideplate parts. The saddle ring bar is broken. The stock shows heavy nicks and dings and cracks.
Someone has added a brass plate on the bottom of the stock. THIS RIFLE IS ANTIQUE AND DOES NOT REQUIRE A LICENCE
