Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 Single Action Revolver

Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 Single Action Revolver, Nickel Plated with Pearl Grips & Tooled Holster, .44 S&W, mfg. 1878-1912 (all frames manufactured & numbered before 1899 and considered antique).

Clear barrel address and serial numbers with worn S&W logo on right side of frame. Original hammer, trigger, screws, and pinned blade front sight with sighted barrel latch. The action is crisp and smooth and functions perfectly. Cylinder has typical moderate play on lockup. Barrel securely opens and latches shut with moderate front-to-back play when closed and original cartridge extractor functions properly. Bore shows generally clean good strong rifling front to back with moderate/heavy superfine pinprick pitting throughout. Fine tooled single loop plug-bottom leather holster dates to same era as gun and fits perfect with nice rich color and no damage. A great looking Western rig!
