This Model 1873 Trapdoor is a Model 1879 variant. There is no official destination of this variation as a Model 1879 but it has distinctive characteristics which set it apart from a standard Model 1873, such as a wider receiver that is no longer flush with the barrel.
The front of the bore is light gray. The remainder is semi bright. The rifling is deep. There is erosion in the bore, mostly in the front of the bore. In my opinion, this bore rates 6.5 out of 10.
It was made in 1882 and is in Very Good condition. This cartridge firing Trapdoor will add to your antique collection.
