Colt AUTOMATIC... PRE-SERIES 70, ALL ORIGINAL W/ LETTER .38 Super

Here's a rather scarce Colt. This is a "Pre-Series 70" Super .38 Automatic pistol that is factory finished in the "dual tone" nickel (bright flats, matte finished curved surfaces). This pistol is completely original and in very good overall condition.
This pistol is in perfect working order and has a bright, sharp bore. It comes with one correct nickel magazine which is in good condition but does show some surface oxidation. It comes with the original Colt factory letter which confirms the pistol was made with the nickel finish. The letter also shows it left the factory in a shipment of a single gun on October 20, 1964, destined for Sowle Hardware Corp., located in Gloversville, New York. The nickel finish is decidedly scarce with the Blue Book showing that it's a 50% add to normal value.
