Now herein is presented a rare and collectible Colt for your collection. Colt introduced the New Pocket Model in 1893, as their first small frame, swing out cylinder double action revolver.
It was intended as concealable personal defense weapon. It was developed from the 1892 Army revolver and built on a Model A Frame. Chambered with six rounds of .32 Colt, a now obsolete cartridge but similar to the .32 Smith & Wesson Long Blackpowder. The .32 Colt New Police was a later development. Colt did chamber some of later production in the Smith cartridge. With a total production of around 30,000, these New Pockets represent a significant milestone in Colt's development of the revolver. The Bore and Cylinders are excellent. The time and lockup decent.
Overall a very nice Old School Collectible Colt
